Perfluoroether rubber is a kind of rubber that does not contain c-H bonds at all. This rubber has thermal stability and chemical resistance similar to PTFE. Because the side chain has an OCF group, it has good elasticity, and has unique adaptability to oils, heat aging, light aging, etc. The level of fluorine content is decisive for the special properties of perfluoroether rubber. Impact. At present, there are few developed countries that produce perfluoroether rubber in the world.
Perfluoroether rubber has good physical and mechanical properties similar to general fluorine rubber, and it can be adjusted within a certain range. But its high temperature resistance and special medium resistance are unmatched by general fluorine rubber. The performance of different brands of perfluoroether rubber at high temperature is different. The high temperature resistance grade of perfluoroether rubber can reach 310℃, and the high temperature resistance grade of DuPont's perfluoroether rubber can reach 327℃. Under laboratory conditions, the compression set test is used to evaluate the temperature resistance of rubber parts.
Perfluoroether rubber can withstand the corrosion of almost all chemical media, including ethers, ketones, benzene ring solvents, strong oxidants, strong acids, strong alkalis, etc., and can withstand chemicals that other rubbers cannot use, such as acrylonitrile , DNT, ethers, dichloromethane, styrene, amine-based, ethoxyethanol, ethylene oxide, ketones, diluents, vinyl chloride, butadiene, DMT, esters, propylene oxide, etc., in Perfluoroether rubber in these media can also show excellent performance. However, the solvent resistance of perfluoroether rubber will be different due to the different grades of raw rubber, so the rubber grade must be selected correctly when using it, especially when it is applied to amine-based compounds. Perfluoroether rubber vulcanizates also have low permeability to gases and liquids, good combustion resistance, electrical insulation, low friction and wear properties, thermal conductivity, and high volume expansion rate at high temperatures.
